News is a public interest product and everyone should have access to it, without any barriers. Key features and changes include: • Talkback and Voice Over Support: Compatibility with screen readers to help visually impaired users navigate the app • Voice Search: Search by speaking with just a tap, with filters for authors, sections, and tags • Transcripts, Read Aloud, and Subtitles: An in-built, one-click transcript for all podcasts, and read-aloud functionality for text stories. Plus, subtitles in videos • Dyslexia Font and Motion Control: Dyslexia font to make text more readable for Dyslexic users, and motion control to help users with ADHD • Reader Mode: A clean reading format, without any distractions in the form of banners, widgets, and pop-ups • Colour Filters and Contrast: Colour themes for those with color blindness, alongside a dark mode and light mode.
